Michele Bechor, Ph.D.

Dr. Michele Bechor is a Licensed Psychologist in Florida and founder of Emblem Psychology & Consulting, a virtual practice serving children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families across 43 U.S. states (see here for a map) through her PSYPACT certification. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Science in Child and Adolescent Psychology in 2018 from Florida International University, where she also completed a certificate in Cognitive Neuroscience. Dr. Bechor specializes in evidence-based treatment of anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), and Tourette Syndrome/tics. A passionate advocate for clinical excellence, Dr. Bechor has published scientific research articles on attentional mechanisms of internalizing disorders. She has presented her research at national conferences including Association for Behavioral & Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), National Association for Therapeutic & Schools And Programs (NATSAP) and Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA), and she is actively involved with the Florida Psychological Association as Chair of the Continuing Education Committee. She has led Continuing Education courses on OCD, ADHD and Relationship Building Skills, and she mentors and supervises fellow clinicians before or after licensure. She serves as an Advisory Board Member for Owl Therapy, a telehealth application that uses technological expertise to match members with mental health practitioners.
